Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park is nestled in the Manyara Region of Tanzania, situated approximately 118 kilometers southwest of Arusha. It spans an impressive area of about 2,850 square kilometers, making it the sixth largest national park in Tanzania. The park is named after the Tarangire River, which is the primary source of fresh water for the wildlife in the region during the annual dry season.
Tarangire National Park is renowned for its high population density of elephants and baobab trees. During the dry season, the park becomes a sanctuary for an incredibly large number of wildlife species.
